Appointments

Why do I need to make an appointment?

An appointment is needed to ensure a White Room consultant is available to assist you in finding a wedding gown that best suits your personal style. Our stylists can also help select bridal accessories and discuss customization options with you. Please contact us with your appointment request and we will do our best to meet your ideal time & date.

We offer hour long consultations (a little longer on weekdays if we have the capacity) and ask that if you are unable to make it, you give us 48 hour notice. We also ask that small children wherever possible are left at home. Men and women all welcome!

How long does the dress process take?

A gown will take anything from 14 weeks upwards to make and we really do emphasise that once you are ready to buy a gown you begin shopping and once you find your gown, you committ and then enjoy the rest of the engagement.  Waiting to order last minute causes you (and us!) stress and buying too soon causes dress wobbles. We know the dress is one of the MOST important parts, so 2-3 shops, a focused shopping trip and selecting the right places to try are highly advisible. We do not recommend trying on gowns over budget 'for fun', allowing your maids to pick out the largest princess gown for your intimate barn affair or rummiging through a sample sale when you've never tried anything on before. This should be fun, memorable but least of all, a process about you and dressing you in something exceptional for your wedding day.

We offer 'browsing appointments' for brides who are perhaps marrying in anything over 12 months time, which allows you to come and see us, look at the styles we offer and the designers we champion. Our collections change annually and we like to be at the forfront of design, For those brides in a position to choose their wedding gown, a try on appointment is always the one. 

We ask that all brides wishing to be a White Room bride ensure that they allow 6-12 months from order date to wear date to we can manage your fabric sourcing, pattern cutting, mesurements, delivery and fittings. We can accomodate rush orders (where the designers are able to do so) however there are normally rush charges associated with such. These can start from £200. 

What do I need to bring?

We ask you bring yourself, ideally with a wedding date and secured venue so we can work with you to build the right look for your day and also manage your gown process in regards to timing, measurments, weight loss, finances and life around the wedding. You are welcome to bring 2-3 guests but we ask that this is the maximum simply for space, management of your appointment and believe us, too many opinions kill the experience for any bride! If you wish to bring more than 3 guests and especially over 5, then we will request you book out the whole of the boutique so we can allocate 2 members of staff to you and your party. We call this a 'White Space Appointment' (see appointments for more info)

Spend & expectations...

Our current bridal collections start from £1,400 and range to just over £3,500 with the majority of our pieces sitting between £2,000 and £2,750. We chose to work within that price bracket as simply, this is where we receive the best fabrics, the most amazing cuts and the style and creativity which we feel is worth the investment and the money. When else are you going to want to wear something of such distinction? Second best feel on the skin, the ‘typical’ gown walking down the aisle or the fingertip veil are just not things we feel should be offering to the modern, stylish and forward thinking brides of 2016 and beyond.

Small print...

Wear nude underwear and no fake tan! We also ask that if you have any ideas, mood boards or definite ideas, you bring these with you so we can work with you to support your dreams. We also ask that you are as open with us as to your wants as you can be to ensure we can be of the best service to you.

Leave your inhibitions at the door! We have seen hundreds of women in many states of undress, unwaxed, chipped nail varnish etc... we don't care! Our aim is to make you look and feel beautiful in the sample to support you in making the right choice of gown. Don't be shy, we love all shapes and sizes and treat all our brides with dignity and respect.

We recognise we are a high end couture bridal boutique and ensure that you feel your investment is not only in the gown but the surroundings, our team, our service and your entire experience. Should you wish to invest a little less, please do get in touch as we do have a selection of 'off the peg' and sample gowns which may work for you too.

We have a strict 'no photo' policy
